TV Show Trailer of the Day: So Waverly Films (of Clown fame) made a pilot for a TV show called The Fuzz — a police procedural featuring humans intermingling with puppets which was to be based on their classic Puppet Rapist shorts from a few years back. Comedy Central put it on their development slate for 2010-2011, but then apparently decided to drop it.

Could Comedy Central’s decision be at all related to the announcement of the eerily similar Happytime Murders — an R-rated muppet movie directed by Jim Henson’s son Brian — being picked up by Lionsgate? Things that make you go hmm.

(sNSFW, potty-mouthed puppets.)

[thanks brad!]
